Choreo Camp is a unique dance retreat that blends choreography, solo movement, and mindset training. It’s designed to push your dance and creative expression to the next level, all in a supportive environment where process matters as much as performance.
Choreo Camp is for dancers who want to push their limits — it’s for those who love to dive deep into practicing new movements, and expand their own movement potential. Whether you’re a competitor, a social dancer, or a teacher looking for inspiration, this is for you.
The core concept of the weekend is to dive into the experience of learning, practicing, and performing a West Coast Swing routine — all alongside a partner. You’ll spend the weekend working closely with your chosen partner as you build choreography, refine your technique, and bring your performance to life.
There are different group levels to choose from, each with its own level of difficulty. You and your partner can select the level that feels right for your current abilities — and challenges you just enough to grow.
How Do I find a partner?
There are plenty of ways to connect with other dancers:
Reach out through your local WCS group chats, talk to your peers in class, or post in our dedicated Facebook group to find a partner. We created this group specifically to help you connect with others who are also looking for a partner or roommate for the weekend.
Please understand that we’re unable to assist with partner matchmaking. However, we’ll give you an extended grace period to find a partner, so you don’t need to have one confirmed at the time of registration. Preference will be given to couple sign-ups.
What level of dance experience is required?
Take a moment to review our group level descriptions — you and your partner can register for the level that feels like the best fit for your skills and goals. If you're unsure which level to choose or have any questions, feel free to reach out — we're happy to help you decide!
Please plan to arrive before the official welcome ceremony on the first day to check in and settle before we kick things off. The final performance will wrap up on Sunday night, including our level 1 performance — so we recommend departing late that evening or the next morning.
Can I attend only part of the camp?
To protect the integrity of the experience (and group dynamics), we strongly recommend attending the full camp. Partial attendance may be possible in rare cases, but please contact us first to discuss.
You can expect a mix of choreography sessions, open & guided practices after the choreo sessions, solo classes and stretching sessions.
